Justin Lim (b.1990, Singapore) is a visual artist. In his current practice, he is
interested in the notion of displacement and transition between spaces and
territories that separate ideas of origins. He seeks to negotiate and transform them through material experiences, creating a sense of liminal state. His works also examine absence and the longing to hold on to the transitory.
Lim has participated in exhibitions such as Art Stage Singapore, “MULTI: +Project” Kyoto, “An American in Singapore 1965-70 part II” Washington D.C and “certain place(s), vague shades” Wuhan. Solo exhibitions includes “Beyond Bittersweet” and “The Drift Project II” Singapore. He was also a recipient of the inaugural IMPART Award and the Winston Oh Travelogue (research).
